The iVoice charges eveything I've fed it (Nano 3g, Classic 160 gig, and iPod Touch g2) and plays all 3 without problems (I also use it as an external speaker with a 40" Sony flat screen). It's leagues ahead of speakers in the hundred dollar range--Altec, Logitech, JBL--in versatility as well as sound. I sense no strain from the speaker when playing compressed files. The bass is "true" and very real (not boomy). How does Athena do it? And why isn't this speaker receiving the support of the Klipsch iGroove or Bose Sound Dock. It's certainly competitive with both--perhaps even better. I can't believe the other speakers require you to use all of these adapters as opposed to the adjustable wheel on the Athena. And not to have the familiar "wall wart" to put up with is an accomplishment in itself. I notice that Athena is quiet about the guts of this system. I'm curious if it uses a cross-over system or special electronic circuitry to achieve such power, depth, realism, and frequency range. (I'm sure the speaker can't be more than 2")
