Remove the philips screws on the perimeter only! There are 8 or 10.
But before you remove the amplifier, the woofer must be disconnected. I recall a foam trim gasket over the woofer frame, remove it carefully and then remove the 8 screws for the woofer. Disconnect woofer. There are some nylon clips that hold all the wiring away from the heat sinks etc that must be "unclipped" Once this is done then the amp can easily be removed. Replace the RCA connector and replace the amp first; place wires inside the clips as before then replace the woofer. Be sure to remember the wiring to the woofer!
Of course this entire operation should be performed with the unit unplugged from the AC mains.
