    LS-500B and LSC-50 center?

    Greetings.

Today I recieved my pair of LS-500 from audioadvisor.com. I am very impressed with the design and build of the speakers. I have yet to break them in as I am awaiting the delivery of my Onkyo tx-sr707 reciever. I have never bought speakers before without hearing them first, and information is hard to find, but from what I have gathered I should be pleased.

My question is would the LSC-50 center channel match well with the LS-500? I have limited shelf space on my TV stand and this would be the best fit. Also, what sub would be a good choice? My room dimensions are 20' x 12' with no carpeting.

I'm not looking to rock the apartment, more interested in clean, full sound, with an emphasis on rock concert video.

     Thanks for any info.

    Mike- system so far:

    Samsung 1080p LN-T 4061F; Onkyo TX-SR 705; Playstation3; Scientific Atlanta 1080i DVR/DTV (Time Warner Cable); Athena LSC-500B x2 (front)

Hello.  I like your choice of receiver.  That was a smart decision.  As for the center channel, you need to make sure that the Onkyo has something like a dialogue lift in it's on screen display if you plan to use it under your screen.  The 4061 was also a good choice.  The Athena Center Channel matches well to its Floor standers, but I might recommend looking at another one of API's products.  The Klipsch Synergy or reference series centers sound nice, but for good refinement try researching the Energy center channel speakers from the C or Connoisseur Series.  Mirage makes good products too but they tend to be expensive.  Polk Audio makes good subwoofers, but I would never pay more than 1/2 of retail.  Try Velodyne for a good sub within an Athena budget.
