USB connection

I purchased a Athena Ivoice and am trying to connect to my computer via a USB cable. I get no connection from the Ivoice to the computer. I have tried several cables. Is there some sort of setup or what? I made a contact via email but have had no reply.

I have receieved the Ivoice unit today and everything is fine but am also having issues with the 'USB device is not recognised' and I had hoped to remove some of the clutter of cables on my desktop by docking everything I own. any help will do, I have Windows VIsta and and ipod touch
