    Uncontrollable Volume

My iVoice presents 2 very unique characteristics (problems!!): whenever I power it up it goes to the MAXIMUM sound level, and never to the level where it was at when powered down. It is sort of annoying having to put the iPod on pause, and then powering up, then bringing down the volume, then taking the iPod off of pause, cause sometimes I forget the routine. The second is more troubling: evil spirits or something supernatural residing inside my iVoice all of a sudden decides to boost the volume to MAX on its own and without warning, and when this happens the iVoice completely ignores the remote and the volume and on/off buttons on the set. The blue demon-eye led flashes repeatedly and the only solution left is to unplug the unit and plug it back on.  Of course, when this happens, you tend to forget the first routine described above, and the iVoice turns back on at MAX VOLUME.  Any ideas as to what may be happening? I am using the iVoice with a 5th Gen iPod Video 30gb, which works well with a Sonic Stage T24 and an Logitech AudioStation (I guess that rules out that the iPod is defective).

    HELP!!

I'm having the same exact problem. In addition, if I increase the volume using the remote, the volume will start increasing uncontrollably, and the remote will become inoperable until the unit is turned off manually and restarted as described above. I have a third generation Ipod nano 8GB. Please help me too! Thanks.

I also have an Ivoice that only plays at FULL VOLUME. Why doesn't any tech respond to our problem?

I have no idea. My response to their lack of response was to return the speakers.

    Re: Uncontrollable Volume

My iVoice seems to be haunted by something supernatural?  I can't quite figure it out.  I've already had an exorcism performed on the iVoice but the little blue led continues to turn on and off at its own leisue?  To make things even worse, it is starting to turn on on its own and play music extremely loud to the point where I feel threatened?  I mean some of the music it is playing isn't even stuff I downloaded?  All I want to do is listen to my music without it being so loud.  Please help immediatley if you have any info.  Thank you!

    Re: Uncontrollable Volume

Ive had this happen to a clients setup (Niles ICS system), with a Nile ipod dock.  When selecting that source it went to the max volume and did not allow you to turn it down.  After doing a firmware update on the Niles and the client did an update on the ipod it worked fine since, not sure which of the two helped.
